Motus vs DavinciClaude
DavinciClaude is editorial AI for Resolve. Motus is complex AI motion graphics as native editable clips. Cut with one; put real motion graphics on the timeline with the other.
Is Motus the same as DavinciClaude motion design?
No. DavinciClaude is an editorial suite (silence cuts, captions, multicam, B-roll) that also lists motion design from a prompt. Motus is only motion graphics, and it is built for complex ones: kinetic type, multi-element scenes, charts, as native OGraf clips you keep editing in Motus and on the Resolve timeline.
Can I use Motus and DavinciClaude together?
Yes. Use DavinciClaude for cutting, captions, and silence. Use Motus when you need complex motion graphics that stay an editable clip.
Which one is for free DaVinci Resolve?
DavinciClaude states it works on free Resolve and Studio. Motus’s supported path is Resolve Studio 21+ on Windows (Workflow Integration). A Lua Motus Bridge for the free edition exists for 21.0.x and is untested on free 21.1+.
